Puppies
Based on the Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Foundation Scheme. Offers puppies and owners an environment for safe socialisation and development of basic skills. Teaching everyday manners and discussing owner responsibilities, whilst building confidence and giving puppies a successful start in their training.

Life Skills Courses
Life skills courses are held on a Wednesday evening. This is for those needing help with daily challenges by teaching strategies to help dogs interact safely with people, dogs and the environment. It guides handlers and dogs through common problems and pitfalls to help achieve a happy, relaxed relationship and a strong foundation of training. Learning more about communication and exploring dog body language.
This is an 8 week course with a maximum of 8 participants to ensure a good trainer-handler ratio. For available courses, please check our booking page.
Level 1 Classes
These classes are open to anyone who has completed a puppy course (or equivalent). Continue the lifelong journey with your dog by improving basic skills, building confidence and consistency, and learning additional skills to strengthen your relationship.
These classes are pay-as-you-go and are held at the following times:
Mondays @ 6.30pm with Sam Preece and Annie Barnes.
Tuesdays @ 7pm with Simon de la Mare, Simon Hallett and Martina de la Mare.

Junior Class (aged 8-16)
This class is for Junior handlers aged 8-16.
Note: Adult supervision is required for the entire class. Juniors must be able to handle their dogs independently.
Using games-based training with a focus on having fun, this class aims to build on the dog’s basic skills whilst learning new tricks together. The emphasis is on teaching young handlers how to become responsible owners, whilst building a stronger bond with their dogs.
These classes are pay-as-you-go and are held at the following times:
Mondays @ 5.30pm (term-time only) with Annie Barnes and Sam Preece.

Level 2 Classes
These classes are open to anyone who has completed the IDTC Basic Obedience Certificate (or equivalent). Continue to enhance the bond that dog training brings, moving onto more advanced skills and possibly the Good Citizen Awards or Competition Obedience. The main aim remains the same – have fun with your dog!
These classes are pay-as-you-go and are held at the following times:
Tuesdays @ 8pm with Simon de la Mare, Simon Hallett and Martina de la Mare.
Thursdays @ 3pm with Sue Gamblin, Rebecca Brehaut and Martina de la Mare.

Competition Obedience
The basics learned in this class serve as an excellent foundation for those wishing to move on to other dog sports. This class builds skills required for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Assessments and Competitive Obedience, which is simply a series of tricks.
These classes are pay-as-you-go and are held at the following times:
Mondays @ 10am with Rita Marquand and Sue Gamblin.
Wednesdays @ 6:45pm with Gwen Davies, Karen Seward and Bill Gladstone.

Pre-Agility/Hoopers
Pre-Agility/Hoopers is held on Thursdays at 7pm, with each week alternating between agility (A) and hoopers (H) classes. These classes are aimed at dogs new to agility and/or hoopers, but open to anyone who has completed a puppy course (or equivalent) and has good basic obedience, including a strong recall. Designed to introduce dogs and handlers to the basic skills and introduce equipment in a safe and friendly environment. The classes build on those skills and include how to warm up your dog, attention to name, hand touches, collar grab, spins and twists, leg weaves, toy drive, handling skills and more.
Please note that dogs must be a minimum of 10 months old.

Agility – (Friquet Field)
These classes are for dogs with prior agility experience, equivalent to passing the IDTC Pre-Agility course. All dogs must have solid control off lead in an outdoor environment. This class builds on and cements the skills learned in the foundation pre-agility classes, from increasing tunnel drive and running longer sequences, to introducing weaves and other contacts.
